Meet Patrícia from Recife, Brazil.

In 2010 Patrícia travelled to Scotland, with her friend Charlie, to a music festival. By the end of the holiday she had a song written about her and had met her now husband! After meeting the lead singer of BMX Bandits, Duglas, he became slightly enamoured with her and wrote the song; "Beautiful friend". But this wasn't the first time she had been a musical muse; in 2009 The Very Most wrote a song called "Patricia", which describes her as one in a million! 

On her way home from Scotland Patrícia was sitting beside an Irish man for the 10 hour flight. She said they instantly connected and chatted for the whole flight. Fast forward to 2016 and Patrícia now lives with him and their son in Ougtherard. She loves living in Galway, because there is a sense that everyone is happy to live here. Patrícia is now a stay at home mum but is also a lifelong artist. She is passionate about her art and doesn't want to turn it into something commercial. She loves the idea of a secret gallery and imagines she is the secret artist who just quietly works without any limelight or attention. That sums up Patrícia, a reserved person who is obviously happy in herself. But ironically this, and her smiley eyes, makes you drawn to her and whether she wanted it or not she ends up in the limelight! Check out her work here.
