2020 - A year in review - Part four

As the winter sun sets on Blackrock Diving Tower my online store came online

Despite having a good second half of the year with families booking sessions, Covid 19 restrictions had massively impacted my ability to make a steady income. With the help of Údarás na Gaeltachta I was able to receive a grant which helped me develop my existing website to have e-commerce capabilities. I was finally ready to take online bookings and sell my images as prints.

I also invested in a DJI Mavic Air 2 drone which allowed me to photograph a landscape from a different perspective. While easy enough to navigate the West of Ireland winds ensures flight times are short and on one occasion photographing and videoing the above scene at Dog’s Bay I nearly lost the drone to the sea!

I now have a library of local and travel photographic prints which I am constantly adding to, and hope that in 2021 I will be able to add to my collection from places throughout Ireland. Because who knows, it may be 2022 before we get to travel abroad again!
