Faces of Galway 51/100

Meet Kasia from Nysa, Poland

On a beautiful October day I met Kasia painting the faces of zombies for the Village Salthill Zombie Chase. The level of detail was truly frightening and some very convincing zombies chased children 2 km along the prom for a fun run. It was all in aid of National Support and Awareness Charity ACT for Meningitis. The following day Kasia was busy painting the faces for the famous Macnas parade. Kasia was thrilled to have such an opportunity and it was all through her make up course at the School of Make up Artistry.

12 years ago Kasia moved to Ballinrobe in Mayo with her husband. They knew a few people there and thought they would try living and working in Ireland for two years. Although Poland is always in her heart; Kasia didn't want to return and now sees Ireland as home. She loves Galway; the artistic vibe of the city makes her happy. Kasia has always had a deep passion for make up and has done lots of courses over the years. She feels this current one will give her the confidence to branch out and start working as a make up artist.
