Meet Ciaran from Santiago, Chile

Born in Dublin, Ciaran is an Irish citizen but after moving back to Chile at the age of five he spent most of his younger years speaking Spanish. Even after moving back to Ireland and attending secondary school in St. Enda's College, Galway,  he still speaks with a Chilean accent. He now speaks fluently in both English and Spanish.

Ciaran is a man with multiple talents. While studying a degree in Computer Business and Digital Media in GMIT he worked both as a personal trainer and a body piercer in Victor's Tattoos and Body Piercings. The hardest piercing he has done is the dermal anchor throat piercing, because of its location on the throat. This involves removing a small circle of flesh and inserting an anchor, the jewellery is then attached to the anchor. He still remembers his hands shaking the first time he did one.

All over his piercing room are sketches Ciaran has drawn himself. The creative outlet he had hoped for in his degree course didn't transpire so he has created his own company where he films and produces sports videos. While it is still early days  Ciaran hopes that this will eventually become his full time career. Ciaran's work can be seen here
